The first teaser for the sequel to the Academy-Award-winning animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is out.
In the two-minute preview, Gwen Stacy (voiced by Hayley Steinfeld) unexpectedly visits Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), who can barely hide his embarrassment as Spider-Gwen gracefully sneaks into his bedroom.
The details of the sequel have not been completely disclosed, but with Oscar Isaac's Spider-Man 2099, who appeared in the post-credits scene of the first film also making an appearance in the teaser and tackling Miles, it's safe to assume he'll be our antagonist with more development of the romance between Gwen and Miles.
Issa Rae is also set to make her debut as Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Woman but we have little to go on at the moment as to what role her character to play in addition to Peter B. Parker and the other Spider-people from the first film. The sequel is currently slated for October 7, 2022, and is interestingly enough only "Part One." No word on how soon Part Two will debut after but we already have to wait a year for the first one so let's hope we don't have to wait too long for the second half.
If you've never seen the first film or are looking to watch it again at home, you can rent or buy it here to see it at home.
