HBO and Cartoon Network to make new animated series Batman: Caped Crusader and My Adventures With Superman.
My Adventures with Superman, with Jack Quaid lending his voice to the titular hero, has landed a two-season order at HBO Max and Cartoon Network.
Things may be up in the air about what's next for Superman and Batman in the DC Universe but their animated versions are getting the red carpet treatment. WarnerMedia announced that two new animated series, one based on each hero, would be coming to HBO Max and Cartoon Network.
Per THR, J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves will team up to produce Batman: Caped Crusader with Bruce Timm who has done numerous projects in the DC animated universe before. Per Deadline, Jack Quaid who plays "Hughie" on The Boys will voice Superman in My Adventures with Superman.
In My Adventures With Superman, Clark and Lois will "discover what it means to be Superman and Lois Lane" as Superman juggles his dual identities and Lois becomes The Daily Planet's top reporter all while they fall in love with each other. While Batman: Caped Crusader "will once again reinvent Batman and his iconic rogue’s gallery with sophisticated storytelling, nuanced characters and intense action sequences all set in a visually striking world," according to THR.
