The Pokémon Company has finally revealed the release dates for their upcoming trio of games in addition to new features from Pokémon HOME.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will release on November 19, 2021. Pokémon Legends: Arceus will launch on January 28, 2022. Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, which was released in 2006 for Nintendo DS.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will explore the Sinnoh region like their Nintendo DS originals. The original story will be reborn with "colorfully revitalized" game functions. According to the Pokémon Company, "trainers can expect an adventure through the Sinnoh region that feels both nostalgic and fresh." The adventure will also let trainers experience the "mysterious connection" between Legendary Pokémon Dialga or Palkia and the Sinnoh region during gameplay. Sounds good? You can pre-order Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl now.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players will get something they've wanted for years with RPG elements. While still in the Sinnoh region, like Diamond and Pearl, this game will occur before the events players experience in those games. According to the Pokémon Company, "player(s) will set out to create and complete the region's first Pokédex by catching, surveying, and researching the wild Pokémon that live there." It looks like we're going from trainers to scholars this go-round. Legends: Arceus is also currently available for pre-order.

Pokémon HOME

Pokémon HOME is introducing the Catch Calendar in its newest update. The feature allows users to see when Pokémon have been caught by arranging them in chronological order. The update allows users to remember when they caught certain Pokémon or any other memorable occasions such as receiving a Pokémon as a gift. Trainers can also use the feature to view Pokémon registered in their Pokémon from different angles.

All games will be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch and are available for preorder on Best Buy and GameStop.
